The Ineloquents name was inspired by the story of Moses and his encounter with God in Exodus 3-4, especially 4:10-12. Moses tells God he is "ineloquent" or unable to speak, he feels unqualified for the job God has asked him to do. God responds with "I will help you speak and I will teach you what to say". In the same way, The Ineloquent have often felt "unqualified for the job" but they believe that God helps them and teaches them what to sing about.
